The media coverage of an essay on evolution reveals shortcomings in the dissemination of scientific information by André et al.

“We are specialists in evolution, specialists in the study of misinformation, specialists in education, and more broadly, scientists concerned with how our work is communicated. We wish to express here our deep concern about the massive media coverage of a recent book by Daniel Milo on evolution, entitled La survie des médiocres. Critique du darwinisme et du capitalisme (Gallimard), and also to propose a few simple principles for the handling of scientific information in the media, in order to prevent similar cases of misinformation in the future….”
